Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957, Aldridge received his art education from Rock Valley College, Rockford College, and the Art Institute of Chicago. An accomplished cartoonist, his work has been used by national corporations and advertising agencies. He has also created several commissioned portraits for organizations and private patrons, including three portraits of the late Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr., which were used as part of the 1988 King Celebration in Rockford, Illinois.

Aldridge's most recent work is a series of paintings entitled Hold On and Reach Beyond the Break. Together these paintings examine the intimate relationship between man and God, and the hope it nutures when called upon. In another piece, Musical Praise, Aldridge playfully celebrates rejoicing the Lord through music.

An artist for over twenty years, and a father of four, Aldridge explores his subject matter using various mediums and techniques. Although pen and ink is his favorite medium, he also enjoys working in oil, acrylic, charcoal, and pastel.
